Forgotten paints
I wonder who gave him those tubes.
Didn't he care?
So many of them,
Not one single cap.
Divine colors,
So powerful.
What happened?
I think he had a lover,
She came everyday with a new gift,
How many different colors did she get?
9 months worth.
One day she vanished,
Pregnant.
He burnt his studio and left, to find her.
Pigments were protected by ashes,
Forgotten,
Until yesterday.
He?
He became a happy father.
Me?
I salvaged those tubes and started painting with oil.

Turtle and crocodile
Watching the billions of stars
Finding the night beetles a little too friendly
Eating on mangoes, pineapples and papayas
Writing, planting and swimming
It's so good to have your baby back home!

Trip to Atrophy
Vigorous writing is concise.
A sentence should contain no unnecessary words,
a paragraph no unnecessary sentences,
for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines
and a machine no unnecessary parts.
This requires not that all writer make all sentences short
or avoid all detail and treat subjects only in outline,
but that every word tell.*
