Excuse me mam, do you want to adopt me?

This is the place I love
Silver elephants and Ostrich feather trees
chinese lanterns across the pipes
props for all and all for props!

And this is serious matter
Do I really want to get my bakelite solar system?

There's a day care for dogs on 22W Street,
They have little tables and beds and drawings on the walls
They walk five in each hands
And behave nicely.

So many cut trees thrown in the streets of NYC,
Why get them in the first place?
How long did it take to grow big
For one night of carols and a day of wrapping?
Next year forget about the Xmas tree
Leave the forest trees to the forest and the bees.
And spend time with your kids instead,
Creating something unique
With all your house recyclables.
It's much more fun and what a memory!

First day out

The sun is shining,
I can see everything!

Coat and hat, gloves and boots
I'm off discovering my new roots

New number to call
Hot dog in a mall

I'm walking like a frantic
Flatbush, Fulton, Pearl, Atlantic

Got my plunger
Can't see any danger

Cobble Hill, Court and Kane streets
On the path rejected christmas trees and treats

I'm lost...not really
Stop for a Cappuccino at Bonafide Deli

Stroll alongside Columbia
It's dark, can't see a cobra

Cadman at last
Under Manhattan Bridge I pass

I could live in John's street White building
Have my morning coffee at Brooklyn Roasting

For now it's Water
The arty warehouse is for later.

04 January 2013

After a 25 hours flight...

It was a long long long hug at Byron Bay's bus station, I'm leaving both my Love and Jack the dog behind the closed door, it's 5 in the morning, the shuttle and the sun rises with some relaxing music and stops few hours later on the international departing steps of Briz Airport. Armed with magic potions I get through to LA, in good condition and ready for another flight tfor a final JF Kennedy New York arrival by sun set the same long long day. My hindu taxi driver offers me some possible "body massage" his primary business... sure, why not, but another time ok? Kieran the runner waits for me at the doorstep of Water street, in freezing Dumbo, I can recognize exactly the area we've been dreaming starting an Antique Shop a few years ago.....M4 is my apartment, "a very empty space, with lavender products" tells me K, followed by a "do you rock climb? Cause my girlfriend starts a now job tomorrow and you could rock climb for free"..."Thank K, that's really very cool, I use to do a lot of that in my teens, but I think I might wait a little before getting on that wall, perhaps next week ok? See you at work on Monday and thanks for waiting".... Door is closed, internet just connected and suddenly big jump to the Caribean for a nice chat with my sis.....we discover the place together via Skype, my best friend tonight....

before a night stroll starts...

I really want to change some money and get to call home.

Money and public phone are found, but not in working order...

Well I'll get a little dinner at "Pedro" in the midst of "ready to party girlfriends", "silent and serious young married couple", "black dude watching TV at the bar", "Margarita sharing girlfriends under the chili lights" and my YUMY "red beans and rice and everything's nice"shared with a "Balle Mason" glass Mojito filled...

A nice celebration by my own for this arrival in Brooklyn!

I couldn't resist the waterfront appeal...

And look at all those old streets and old buildings restarting a new era after mega renovations...

Some things don't change though, like the night rubbish and recycling cardboards warehouse, somehow it's reassuring to have old human technology still around, too clean and too new is scary!

A big fat rat runs across the street, and a grocery is still open for me to get some bread'n'butter'n'coffee for my next morning breaky.....

Great day, trip'n all!
